Quick start implementation page.
This page tells you how to start using your free counter and how to implement the script of OneStat Free. |

Step 1. Subscribe to our free counter Go to www.onestatfree.com and select the sign-up page. Fill out the registration form and provide us with a valid e-mail address. Step 2. Verify your account details Directly after submitting the registration form you will receive an e-mail with your unique OneStat code. To change your account data for your free counter, log into your account manager and request the OneStat code again. Step 3. Copy the OneStat Free counter code Doubleclick the attachment of the email called script.txt. Choose to open this script and select all. If you cannot open the e-mail go to the account manager on the OneStat.com web site and log in. You can also copy the OneStat code there for your free counter. Copy the script beginning with <!--ONESTAT SCRIPTCODE START--> and ending with <!--ONESTAT SCRIPTCODE END--> and click on copy. We advise you to copy and paste the OneStat free counter code to Microsoft Notepad, available in each version of Microsoft Windows. If you are using frames on your web site, place the OneStat code only on the content pages. If you are using forwarding like a .tk or come.to, see our Script implementation FAQ page for more details. If you are using another web editor and experience problems with implementing your free counter, please go to the section installation of the code for special web editors like Dreamweaver or Frontpage in the customer support section. Step 4. Paste the OneStat code into each web page Open the HTML pages of the web site you want to our free counter to track using Microsoft Notepad or any other regular text editor without special mark-up capabilities. Paste the OneStat.com code into the HTML page between the <body> and </body> tags of each page you want to track. Save your changes. Step 5. Upload the pages to your web site Upload the HTML pages that contain the OneStat.com free counter script with a FTP program like you normally do. You can also get a free FTP program at http://www.wsftp.com If you have problems with uploading your HTML pages, ask your hosting company or internet provider for more details. Inserting the OneStat.com code into your HTML should not be difficult, however if you still have problems with particular web page editors like Dreamweaver and Frontpage please go to the free counter script implementation FAQ list. Step 6. Click on the OneStat free counter icon on your web site and log in After implementation, you can enjoy the best free counter reports of the number one provider of web analytics! Click on Login in the topmenu to login to your web site statistics. |
